I love the purple! Your scarf will be great, I can't wait to see it! Welcome back!

A speech and debate tourney sounds wonderful! I judged one for an area homeschool group once and have wanted to get my kids involved ever since. One of those "to do" items that I really should tackle.....

Your purple yarn looks quite regal. I'm imagining that purple against the brilliant oranges of fall while you take an autumn nature walk with it wrapped around your neck. Perfect! It won't be a UFO by fall......right??? :-)

I'd love to know how you manage to keep your UFO list to five. I'd be giddy if I could widdle my quilt ongoing projects to such a tiny number! It just isn't in me! Starting new things is too addictive!

We LOVED the Bronze Bow.

Welcome back to Yarn Along! That Lace Ribbon looks fabulous - I look forward to seeing how it turns out ;0)

amanda {the habit of being}

i've knit that pattern before and i think it will knit up beautifully with the malabrigo silky merino - such a fantastic choice!!

Beautiful yarn and gorgeous pattern, look forward to seeing it grow xM

You have been very busy, so I understand knitting and reading being on hiatus. I made the scarf several years ago with yarn leftover from my husband's anniversary socks (did you know 7 years is wool). ( ) I think purple would be lovely and malabrigo is delightful.

I have not knit with silky merino yet but I think I should! Can't wait to see the scarf all done up!

I haven't used silky merino,but now I think I really want to!
I did however read the Bronze Bow and it was a big hit here.
Have a great yarn along day.

PS- The plants in my picture are blackberry vines. I can't believe I have berries in March!

Love that yarn! The pattern looks like a nice one.

oh a scarf in purple is gorgeous! and i love the name of that colour. btw, i spy "how to be an explorer of the world" in your reading sidebar. i own this book too and found it very inspiring. reminds me i really need to go back to it and try some more of the ideas.
