this looks quite yummy! we are trying to eat less meat and (even though bacon is meat) i am going to try this. bacon is my fave!

Kristen

Delicous! Love the pics...especially the one of the scallions. Did this go over well with the crew?

Ellen

3 of 4 kids liked it. 4th one even tried a minuscule portion (mainly due to wooing him with a promise of bacon!) Chris & I loved it, but we're *weird*. :)

I can almost taste it! Looks very appetizing. Have you ever tried Lentil Burgers? Your kids might like them...all of them.

Ellen

Do you have a recipe, MaryBeth? We've had store-bought lentil burgers - with a curry base - very good but pricey. I'll have to search out some recipes in my myriad cookbooks!

I usually make them like I would hamburgers. Cook and mash the lentils, add chopped onions, peppers, an egg, worchestershire sauce, salt and pepper. They keep together very well when using the egg. Can be grilled or even baked in the oven for a loaf. Serve with any kind of sauce....I like a combination of Mayo/Mustard. But......that's just me.

By the way...I love your web site. You're doing a great job! Give yourself a pat on the back. Hugs, MB
